Airing Concerns.

At an ecumenical service held in Balfron Church on the evening Sunday 29th January, members of local Roman Catholic, Presbyterian, Episcopalian and Baptist churches were asked to list their principal concerns within the theme of the evening - justice. Responses, in order of greatest concern, were:a.  Banking and inequalities of wealth     Famine and povertyb.  Emotionally woundedc.  Children's issues     Homelessnessd.  Persecuted Christians     Unemployment/Benefit changese.  War and violenced.  Human trafficking

A collection raised on the evening amounted to £200, which has been sent to Scottish Churches Housing Action. Almighty God, You who are faithful, true and righteous in all your ways;Teach us to choose what is right, and stand against that which is evil.Teach us to love justice and mercy, and stand against oppression and exploitation.Show us where we are indifferent to injustice.Empower us with your spirit, so we may have courage and determinations to do your will.We trust you because you are Lord, and your love endures forever. Amen.
